Frequently Asked Question's

Can I bring my camera?
Camera policies are set by the concert promoter and the performing artists, not by the Uptown. Most shows prohibit cameras, however you are encouraged to ask security personnel at the event if cameras are allowed. Should you bring in a camera and have it confiscated, we will be unable to help you get it back. If you must bring a camera, we strongly recommend a disposable camera to minimize your loss in the event of confiscation.

Why can't I buy tickets from you online?
Our agreement with Ticketmaster doesn't allow us to make phone or online ticket sales. You can save money by purchasing directly from us, however you'll have to buy your tickets in person at 3700 Broadway, Suite 210
(double glass doors just south of the Uptown Marquee).

What service charges are added to the ticket prices?
We charge a $3 service charge with cash or credit cards. There may also be an additional $1.50 parking charge which is mandated by city government.

My tickets say Seat GA127. Where is my seat?
Tickets marked GA (General Admission) don't have assigned seats associated with them. You are welcome to sit or stand anywhere you like.

How is General Admission seating handled?
Strictly on a first-come first-served basis. If you absolutely must pick your spot,
get to the show first. If you move from your spot before or during the show,
you may lose it.
General Admission allows us to place less restrictions on you, while creating
a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

I don't like my seats. Can I change my tickets for better seats?
The Uptown Theater is a unique concert venue smaller and more intimate than most halls. This allows each seat to be far nearer to the stage than most such setups. Even seats that appear to be less desirable on the seating chart will still have an excellent view and nearby restrooms & bar service.
We do not offer ticket exchanges of any kind.

My tickets were lost, stolen, or destroyed. What can I do?
Call our box office for a complete explanation of ticket replacement policies.
If we have a record of your purchase and can verify your identity as the original purchaser, we may be able to reprint your tickets. We do not offer any warranty
or guarantee pertaining to lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.
We cannot replace tickets purchased from Ticketmaster.

Cancelled & Postponed Events
Please call our box office or email us. Occasionally, a promoter or artist may cancel or postpone an event. If the situation merits, you will be issued a refund or replacement tickets of equal or lesser value, at the Uptown Theater
Management's discretion.

Where can I smoke in the Uptown?
Our smoking area is located in the bar adjacent to the main theater lobby, directly south of the marquee. Smoking is not permitted elsewhere in the Uptown, and will cause you to be asked to leave. Tickets will not be refunded in such a situation.

How can I get a backstage pass or comp ticket?
Backstage Passes and comp tickets are issued by the event promoter and the artist. If they are available, they are usually distributed to radio stations and local fan clubs. Backstage Passes are not available for purchase.

Where can I park my car?
The Uptown offers free parking in the Valentine Shopping Center lot directly
north of the theater complex.

Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located to the east and west of the theater auditorium near
the bar areas, and also in the balcony.
